In 1965, Jack O'Connor embarked on his entrepreneurial journey. Initially a door-to-door magazine salesman, he seized an opportunity presented by School Pictures Incorporated. Following a comprehensive six-week training program, O'Connor was prompted to choose a location to establish his enterprise. Settling in Lowell, he commenced operations from his apartment.
After approximately five years, O'Connor's enterprise gained momentum, leading to the inauguration of O'Connor School of Pictures (later rebranded as O'Connor Studios) on Main Street in Tewksbury. Presently, O'Connor Studios thrives, engaging over 100 individuals during peak seasons and boasting a remarkable portfolio of over 12 million students photographed.
